Boucheron Jaïpur Homme Eau de Parfum
JAÏPUR, THE MEN'S FRAGRANCE BY BOUCHERON
When one of the crown jewels of haute joaillerie meets the magic of India, it results in a powerfully distinguished fragrance named Jaïpur by the house of Boucheron.
JAÏPUR, THE FIRST MEN'S FRAGRANCE FROM BOUCHERON
To understand the genesis of the Jaïpur fragrance by Boucheron, we must look back at the history of this famous jewelry house. Boucheron’s first ties with the Indian subcontinent were established in the 19th century when the Maharajah of Kapurthala became one of its first clients after the jeweler settled in Place Vendôme. Louis Boucheron, the heir of the eponymous house, also traveled extensively in the 1920s, particularly to India, where he presented creations from his workshops. Upon his return to France, he received one of the most extravagant orders ever: the Maharajah of Patiala asked him to create sumptuous jewels, providing a veritable treasure trove: thousands of diamonds in white, yellow, and blue hues, over a thousand of the world's largest emeralds, and other equally precious stones like sapphires and rubies. From then on, an unbreakable bond was formed between Boucheron and India.
JAÏPUR BY BOUCHERON, A POWERFUL MEN'S FRAGRANCE
This bond between the jewelry house and distant India resurfaced in 1998 when Boucheron decided to release a men’s fragrance. It was an opportunity to recall the incredible memories from India through a distinguished fragrance full of promise. The fragrance was named Jaïpur (with an ï, unlike the city which is spelled with a normal i), in homage to this Indian city in the state of Rajasthan, renowned worldwide for its historical monuments. The fragrance is an oriental spicy scent: it opens with fresh and citrusy top notes of clove and bergamot, feeding into a spicy heart of cinnamon and nutmeg, accentuated by the floral scent of violet. The whole composition is accompanied by powerful base notes that are authentically oriental: a duo of amber and vanilla. The journey to India has begun.
AN EVOCATIVE BOTTLE FOR JAÏPUR BY BOUCHERON
To complete it, Boucheron opted for a bottle reminiscent of the famous astronomical garden imagined by Maharajah Jai Singh II, who moved his capital to Jaipur in the 17th century. Indeed, the shape of the bottle mirrors the architecture of this site, which has become a jewel of the city. Crafted from noble materials, it is adorned with a gold godron and a sapphire cabochon, evoking the luxurious splendor of the maharajahs. A rare fragrance, imbued with history yet possessing a modern spirit through its elegant and sensual composition. The fragrance of a seductive man with a pioneering spirit, as Boucheron aptly describes. A unique opportunity to dream of distant, luxurious lands through an exceptional perfume.
A JOURNEY FOR THE SENSES
An ode to distant India, Jaïpur Homme draws inspiration from the magnificent gardens of the Maharajahs and bears all the precious codes of the Boucheron house: the golden godron, the sapphire cabochon... It is a sensory journey aimed at a modern seducer with a pioneering spirit. Concentrated as an Eau de Parfum, it reveals extreme sophistication.
This modern oriental fragrance opens with fresh notes, followed by a spicy accord softened by an intense and woody signature. A final vanilla-ambery accord reveals all the oriental power of this suave and powdery floral note, with a memorable trail.
